While wildfires in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province, have spread to four cities and counties in the northeastern region, including Andong, firefighters have been shown struggling to extinguish them.
On the 25th, a video about 15 seconds long was posted on various online communities under the title of 'Firefighter Body Cam on the Wildfire Site'. However, the time and place where the video was filmed, and the exact source were not indicated.
The short video showed firefighters struggling amid the flames intensified by strong winds. Firefighters are wearing fire protection jackets and vests that read 'Gyeongbuk 119.
In the video, urgent cries of "Uh! Careful! Wind behind you!" can be heard as the crew is busy collecting equipment under the red sky. After a brief cry of "Here it comes! Here it comes!" came a gale of black smoke and debris. The crew leaned low or curled up and waited for the wind to pass. Since it was a wind blowing in the flames, it is presumed to have been a high-temperature craze.
Netizens who watched this video said, "It's a living hell," and "They're struggling at the forefront." "It looks too dangerous. Please don't hurt anyone and I hope everyone is safe."
