The bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron disclosed the conversation during his/her lifetime, saying it is evidence of his/her relationship with actor Kim Soo-hyun since the deceased was a minor.
Bu-seok, a lawyer at the law firm Wealth, a legal representative for the bereaved family, held an emergency press conference at 1:30 p.m. on the 27th at the SpaceShare Gangnam Station Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and presented the KakaoTalk conversation between the two in 2016 as related evidence.
On this day, the bereaved family said, "The original KakaoTalk has a part to cover personal information, so I am sending you the reconstructed contents excluding that part. I'm clear that I didn't put together anything that didn't exist," he said.
The Kakao Talk, which was then released, contained a conversation between the two in June 2016. At that time, Kim Sae-ron was 17 years old.
According to the released Kakao Talk message, Kim Soo-hyun said, "I'll be back soon after shooting again, I'll be back soon." LOL," he said, sending a heart emoji.
Kim Sae-ron replied, "Pep♥," and Kim Soo-hyun replied, "Do it realistically later..Is this also prohibited?ㅜㅜ”라고 답했다. Kim Sae-ron replied, "No, it's not a ban."
The bereaved family also released a letter written by Kim Sae-ron to Kim Soo-hyun last year. The letter said, "It's been about five to six years since we met," and "It's my first and last love, so I hope you don't avoid me."
Attorney Boo said, "Kim Sae-ron was 17 years old at the time of the (Kakao Talk conversation)," and stressed, "The letter also shows that the two met for five to six years, and that they are their first love."
It also signaled additional legal action regarding the disclosure of Kim Sae-ron's private life. Lawyer Boo said, "Tuber Lee Jin-ho is revealing Kim Sae-ron's private life," adding, "We will sue him for stalking the bereaved family today."
Kim Sae-ron died on the 16th of last month at the age of 25. Since the 10th, the late Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family has claimed on the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (Gase-yeon) that "Kim Sae-ron has been dating Kim Soo-hyun for about six years since the age of 15." Kim Sae-ron, born in 2000, and Kim Soo-hyun, born in 1988, are 12 years old.
Kim Soo-hyun's side initially denied the rumor of dating Kim Sae-ron, but when the controversy spread, they reversed their position, saying, "Kim Sae-ron dated from 2019 to 2020 after he became an adult."
Kim Soo-hyun's side filed a complaint against the bereaved family of Ga Se-yeon and Kim Sae-ron, and the unnamed victim, who claimed to be Kim Sae-ron's aunt, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (replacing photographs using cameras, etc.), and further accused Ga Se-yeon of intimidation.
