The bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron strongly insisted on dating minors, releasing a message that Kim Sae-ron talked to actor Kim Soo-hyun when he was a minor. He then released a letter that Kim Sae-ron wrote to Kim Soo-hyun.
Lawyer Bu Ji-seok, who served as legal representative for Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family, held a press conference at 1:30 p.m. on the 27th at the SpaceShare Gangnam Station Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The bereaved family then released a Kakao Talk message containing the conversation between the late Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun. The Kakao Talk released contained a conversation between the two in June 2016. Kim Sae-ron was 17 at the time. According to the released Kakao Talk message, Kim Soo-hyun said, "I'll be back soon after shooting again, I'll be back soon." LOL," he said, sending a heart emoji. Kim Sae-ron replied, "Pep♥," and Kim Soo-hyun replied, "Do it realistically later..Is this also prohibited?ㅜㅜ”라고 답했다. Kim Sae-ron replied, "No, it's not a ban."
The bereaved family released a letter that Kim Sae-ron tried to send to Kim Soo-hyun. Kim Sae-ron said, "I sincerely wish you happiness. It's been about five or six years since we met. It's my first and last love, so I don't want you to avoid me. Do you hate and hate me that much? Why?"
According to the bereaved family, the letter was not delivered to Kim Soo-hyun.
Kim Sae-ron died on the 16th of last month at the age of 25. Since the 10th, Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family has claimed on the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute" (Gase-yeon) that "Kim Sae-ron has been dating Kim Soo-hyun for about six years since the age of 15." Kim Sae-ron, born in 2000, and Kim Soo-hyun, born in 1988, are 12 years old.
Kim Soo-hyun's side initially denied the rumor of dating Kim Sae-ron, but when the controversy spread, they reversed their position, saying, "Kim Sae-ron dated from 2019 to 2020 after he became an adult."
