Actor Kim Eui-sung (59) has transformed into an unfavorable character once again.
The movie "Lobby," which will be released on April 2, tells the story of Chang-wook, the CEO of a start-up company who only knew about research, starting his first lobbying golf to win a national project worth 4 trillion won. Actor Jungwoo Ha directed and starred once again following "Roller Coaster" and "Heosamgwan."
In the play, Kim Eui-sung took charge of Choi, Chang-wook's lobbying partner. Choi is a big fan of Jin Se-bin (Kang Hae-rim) and reveals his dark heart.
When asked why he appeared in "Robbie," Kim Eui-sung said, "I had concerns about this movie itself rather than the first character. The Jungwoo Ha code is too high for me, so there are some fun parts, but I was wondering if it would work. Some people strongly sympathize with Jungwoo Ha, but I didn't enjoy the humor because I had hurdles. However, I wanted to work with the director Jungwoo Ha and had a relationship with the junior Jungwoo Ha, so I wanted to help him if it helped. I did a lot of reading, but as I did it, I became more affectionate about movies," he said.
When I was preparing for acting, I didn't think it was a Jungwoo Ha movie. I seriously thought I was acting according to the situation as a character, he said. "When I was reading, I was worried about whether I could pull it off well, but all the actors laughed a lot. He said he could just do the Jungwoo Ha as it is. When I was acting in the field, I thought I was a positive person with a small weakness, but when I saw the result, it was so gross," he said, talking about unfavorable characters.
Kim Eui-sung said of Choi, "In fact, when female professional golfers are playing golf on the field, they try to correct their posture like that. As such, it is a character that shows how terrible it is when good intentions are objectified. As a person living in modern Korea, good will or even goodwill should be fully considered and consideration for the other person should be given priority," he said.
"I also liked Yongseok from the movie 'Train to Busan', but it was hard to understand when there was a flood in the background. Chief Choi is a character who can understand even if he is not forgiven, he said. "Even if others point their fingers, I try to love my character. That's how you can act. This role also has a tragic flaw, but the rest of it is a positive person. I acted with the intention of looking cool to the person I liked, but the result was really serious. You shouldn't look cool to others. I thought I should live a simple and humble life," he said.
When asked about the director-actor Jungwoo Ha, Kim Eui-sung said, "There is little difference between the director Jungwoo Ha and the actor Jungwoo Ha. He is not obsessed with trivial things, but he is sharp and quick-witted. The director and acting felt that way. He replied, "I'm not surprised or worried about most things, so I'm reliable."
On the 25th, Jungwoo Ha underwent emergency surgery for acute appendicitis. As a result, he did not attend the premiere and conference of the "lobby" held on the same day.
When asked about the current status of the Jungwoo Ha, Kim Eui-sung said, "We just need to be alive." I thought about how to use this situation for publicity, he said. "The surgery is a big deal, but I tried to continue the bright atmosphere. When I asked about the progress in the group chat room, they said it was a secret," he said, drawing laughter.
On the other hand, regarding Kang Hae-rim as JinPro, he said, "He is a unique character that is very unique and different from the trend of actors these days. But this is so precious. He has a unique personality and a lot of shyness. So I don't think there's anyone who fits the losing professional golfer better than this person. It's a scene where you learn close to a rookie, and the rest are only worms and foxes. So I tried hard to work comfortably. Kang Hae-rim also seems to have unraveled a lot and worked happily among the worms and foxes.
Referring to Kang Mal-geum, who met as a couple in the play, he said, "When we meet now, they say, 'Honey, how are you?' Like the name Kang Mal-geum, it is clear and lovely. It's not complicated, and I think it's no and it's a very precious person who says no. As an actor, there is much to say about his strength and acting skills, and he is personally attractive. The scenes of acting together were all fun and I learned a lot. Where would there be acting seniors and juniors. The energy is really good and the direction is strong. I want to be good like that, too. I was watching him play a bright and strong villain, and there was madness in his eyes. I thought my eyes were like this in "I'm Fooled". "I haven't seen it yet because I cried so much when I saw it," he confessed.
